Karen Penney's Staff Profile

Karen is currently in her final year of study for a BA Honours degree in Primary Education with Physical Education at Roehampton University, London. Karen has experience working in both primary and secondary schools in and around London including both mainstream and special educational needs settings. Karen has also worked for holiday play-schemes in the Kingston borough and is a volunteer helper for the Kingston Primary Schools Sports Association (K.P.S.S.A.).

Karen has trained in Contemporary Dance at the Royal Academy of Dance (R.A.D.) and has taken exams in numerous dance styles including Jazz, Tap, Modern and Ballet with the standards set by The Imperial Society for the Teachers of Dancing (I.S.T.D.) and the R.A.D. Karen has a qualification in Dance and Movement therapy, focusing on children’s movement and physicality in relation to emotional learning and well-being.

During her spare time Karen enjoys watching musical theatre and trying new foods from around the world.
